Vegas XDCAM to Final Cut Pro

I'm shooting an XDCAM project today that is going to be edited in FCP. If I import my discs into Vegas from a PDW-U1 can I just copy all the files off the hard drive onto a firewire drive for use on the mac? Client is supplying the FW drive.

He'll need the XDCAM importer though, free at www.sony.com/xdcam

In your case, copy all four folders over, even though there is nothing in the Subfolder. Grab an image of the disc if you want to be able to edit proxies/replace with full rez, or you can just grab full rez from the Clips folder.

Thanks Spot. Got everything shot and on the hard drive. I guess I'll see if they can get it to work in FCP.

Thanks Laurence. I think the version on the U.S. (Japan?) site is up to 2.51 so that is what I put on the hard drive before I handed it off today.
