Vegas6-print to tape failure

Hi there. I am happy with Vegas 6, but I have one problem on one of tho computers I own! This pc is an AMD with Athlon 64 3000+; I use a DVAction firewire card; 1 GB Ram and a Radeon 9000 128MB. Is happening that printing to tape the signal from the pc to the deck is failing for a second, or less, and then all ok again....after sometime again a failure and so on... (in 1 hour of film it happened 7 or 8 times)!!!?? I can't understand why!!!???? Anyone may have an answer for this strange problem? Thank you!!

My first inclination is to look at that DVAction card - can you stuff an ADS Pyro in there and see if that solves the problem?

Oh, I should by one! But I use the same card from years on other pcs and never had problems! I have the same card now in a P4 pc and never happened something like this!!! I dont know, the only thing I can try is to use the firewire port on the motherboard?!

I had this happen back when I was using a Pinnacle DV 500 card. I'd go get an ADS Pyro card and pop it in and see what happens.

turned off every firewall and the problem is gone!!!!!

Perosnally, I have found Scenalyzer print to tape to work better than Vegas'.

I don't know...I never had problems with Vegas, but recently I discovered this strange fact!! Maybe a bug came with version 6c?? In the other pc i installed the 6b version and all is working perfectly!
By the way I tried to use Edius print to tape in state of Vegas 6c and all is working!!!! So, finally, i can say the problem is in Vegas!
