Vegasaur batch import takes for ever

Hi there. I have a big project starting with nearly 1500 clips and about the same number of photos in a folder structure which I need to duplicate with bins in VP13. Thought I'd use Vegasaur's batch import to do this. It's been going for 12 hours now and is taking about 8 secs for every item. Is this normal and will it actually complete? Task manager shows very low system and memory usage.

Most likely ~1500 clips and ~1500 images have eaten all your memory (especially MOV files). Do you really need all of them? Did you try to import them directly?

Hey thanks for response. I could import manually but I would have to sit there and watch it and create all other bins myself. The whole point of the Vegasaur routine is to have it do all that automatically whilst I do something else less tedious. The clips are MXF Mpeg2 and task manager shows only low memory usage if it can be believed. I won't need all the clips but the point of the media bins is to help review, sort and make those editing decisions. A shooting ratio of 10:1 is not uncommon.

I would try to import them directly (w/o creating bins) just to be sure that the problem in Vegasaur or not. Use Windows Explorer to find all mxf clips (read here)

I just imported with Vegasaur about 5000 images and 300 clips - it took about 1 hour...

Importing a few hundred clips manually takes just a few minutes so don't understand why Vegasaur takes hours. Other Vegasaur routines are fine like batch rendering.

I can import manually it's no big deal. Shame though cos it would have been a cool one click routine and all the folders would have been created automatically.

I experience the same behavior (slow import).
I'm going to release a fix this week.

That sounds clever. Are you a script writer?
