There are lots of tools similar to SolveigMM Video Splitter that do smart rendering--e.g. VideoReDo and TMPGEnc's MPEG Smart Renderer, both of which work very well. However, they "re-render" which inevitably leads to some loss of quality. Both the Vegasaur and HOS tools "copy" the original file so there is no quality loss.

Great. I also use avidemux with big satisfaction while cutting the needed 2 min from a 20 min drone shot for example.
