VegasPro 19 display freezing after several minutes basic audio editing

I'm running lastest version (build 361) of Vegas Pro 19, using default settings. Windows 10 Pro - all updates applied including latest Nvidia drivers.

Basically I'm loading up a few WAV files, trimming, and placing regions. Then I repeat with another set of WAV files. Usually I will get to put 7 to 10 of these files on the timeline before things go wonky. What happens is faint vertical lines appear on the timeline at 15 minute marks. If I right click on a clip, the drop-down options either display nothing or maybe the first 10-20 options. Sometimes I can hover the mouse over the missing options and some do appear...but I can never get to the sub-menus options....like "normalize". I can click the save button and it will eventually save. Closing and reopening Vegas will fix things for another 7 to 10 clips (this last time I only placed 2 clips!).

I checked the task manager thinking it is a resource issue...nothing odd.

Here's an image of the screen sort-of frozen (see faint lines at 15 min marks, box box over audio monitor box, and right click on a clip only gave a small blank box...not even one menu option).

An suggestions?

BTW My PC is: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB RAM.

I had that happen as well and also had sluggish GUI response unless I bypassed audio effects. It began after I added back in my audio plugins so I wonder if it is a VST issue of some sorts.

Sounds like your experiencing about the same. I don't think it is a VST issue as this has happen on a timeline that does not use any plugin's, just normalize. Another timeline where I did use a plug-in on one clip, out of many, did not seem to behave any differently than one with no plugin usage.
