velocity envelope

Just purchased Vegas and am working my way through the manual. When I right-click on an event and select insert velocity envelope, no envelope is drawn on the event. Am I missing something?

Go to View
Select Video Envelopes and click on Event Velocity
Now try right clicking on the event and adding a velocity envelope.

I think this will fix the problem. Click View... Video Envelopes... then make sure that event velocity is checked.
