Velocity envelope and keeping audio synced.

Ok, this isn't life and death here. I was just playing around in Vegas with skateboarding clips. I like how the velocity envelope works i choosing different rates of slowing the clip down, but my frustration begins when the audio doesn't change with the velocity slow downs. So what do I need to do to get them to match up?

It would go like this....100%----grad drop to 50%------------------------grad raise to 100%----and grad back to 50%

Not sure about another way -- but it can sort of be done by hand -- very tricky. You can slow the audio down by dragging the end of the audio event with the CTRL key down. I don't know a way to hit 50% of normal exactly except trial and error. You may have to split the audio and start "scrunching" it back up slightly to simulate it speeding back up to 100% .. I don't know of a precise way to match the video velocity envelope.

Key frames...?

Is there really no way to auto-sync audio to velocity changed video. I don't care about audio during fast playback... I just want to sync audio once I return to normal playback. Is there a quick way to do this?

This may not be what you want but once you return to normal speed, split the event right there, remove the velocity envelope and you should be able to resync as normal from that point forward.

When back to 100% speed, split the event there and split whatever audio is below also. "Group" the two together (select both, G). Right click the audio and use the "synchronize by slipping" feature.

The audio will slide to match the video it is paired with.
