hi SF,

many thanks for "fixing" the capture section of Vegas in 3.0c over 3.0a...it is now far less sluggish on the controls, the recording time and time remaining is much more accurate, the preview picture is less blocky...and most importantly the capture function doesnt seem to break up the audio in XP as much when it preview mode after 10 seconds or longer... (although it still occurs)....

now if you could only get it to let us select the capture codec....hm...

Anyways many thanks,

Blackout.

I still have the problem with VV30c Capture utility where it is sluggish when navigating around the utility while my Canon XL1s camera is connect and turned on. When I press a menu option or a button in the utility, it takes a full second before the computer responds to my mouse click. Other applications still function quickly. When the camera is turned off, the Capture utility runs fast like every other program. The capture utility just slows down when my camera connected and turned on. I don't get errors or dropped frames, so it's not a big deal, but I would like the program to respond a bit better. I've turned off every option in the utility like video and audio preview, but it's still sluggish. Also, I've tried other capture utilities that do not exhibit this behavior (i.e. Scenalyzer).

My config:

Dell Dimension 4300
P4 1.6Ghz
512MB SDRAM
60 GB hard drive for OS and apps
100 GB hard drive for video
Adaptec 1394 card
Windows XP Pro with all current patched from Microsoft
VV30c

Thanks,
Ron
