vertical defocusing in render

I notice with platinum that when I render vertical lines are clear but horizontal lines are slightly fuzzy. Any way to prevent this?

You might try moving your horizontal line(s) up or down a pixel or two. The line(s) may be splitting at a video interlace line.

Not sure if it will fix it - just a thought...
