Very annoying error when rendering

I am trying to render multiple seperate mpegs together to make one large mpeg. I have a about 7, 20 to 30 minute long clips that are AVIs. When I total them up in the timeline they end up being around 2.5 hrs overall. When I choose to render them as an Mpeg and go through the optimization process to get them under 4.5 GB and start rendering I get an error at exactly the same time every time I attemp the render, when the video file becomes 564MB long. The error is something to the extend of:

"An error occured while creating the media file [].
The reason for the error could not be determined."

What does this mean, and how in the worlddo I fix it? I have already tried defragging.

Try rendering them all together as one avi then bring that into a new project or bring into architect and let it convert.

Okay I will try that and post on whether it works or not...

well it did render the Avi, I might not have to convert to Mpeg as DVD architect will do that for me for AVIs, thank you.

cool, maybe it's just some anomaly in one of your files.
