First off thanks to Sony for giving us a 30 day trial. It shows courage when a software developer have enough confidence in their product to let people run a full version for 30 days.
I must admit I laughed when I opened up the program and remembered those who called it Hello Kitty —it definately has that look.
The first thing I noticed was how much better the preview to monitor seems to work. The rendering is also faster. I'm rendering a project right now that rendered slower in V4. My guess is that Vegas 5 can take better advantage of my P4 3.0 and 2 gig of ram. I'll post more when I have some more experience.
