I recently edited a 6 minute video, included on the timeline were HDV, DV, still images, and generated media (text).
When I started a render (mpg2), it hung up on a particular frame, I had to terminate the process and restart Vegas, render failed same place, it was right at the end of a fade. I moved the fade a few frames, and it went past that point ok. Then it failed on another frame, terminate process, restart, same place. Long story shorter, I took every clip except generated media, reduced the opacity around 2 percent, not really noticeable when viewing, and it render fine. It also failed in the same places when i tried to render to an AVI.
Any thoughts on why this happened, and why the change in opacity mattered?
