Very, very small feature request...

When you stop recording an event in Vegas, the cursor always returns to its start position, ie at the beginning of the event. I can see this is what a lot of people would want a lot of the time, when tracking, etc.

Doing a lot of post-type work, much of what I do involves sequentially 'loading-in' recordings from a bunch of different sources, then editing and arranging. It's a little bit of a pain to everytime have to re-position the cursor to the end before recording again.

Would there be any possibility of an option for the cursor to remain at the end of an event when you've finished recording? What do other people reckon about this - worthwhile?

Thanks
Ben

Stop with <Enter> instead of <Space>.

Geoff - that's genius. Have used Vegas for years, but, duuuhhh, never thought of that!

Thanks

In Vegas 3.0 and later, there is a preference on the General tab that is called Make spacebar and F12 Play/Pause instead of Play/Stop. If you select this, you can just use the spacebar instead of spacebar/enter.

Ted,

I've played with that, but as soon as I choose one scenario, I then want the other !

Hitting eiter <space> or <enter> depending on what I want at the time is best for me. Actually, I have them set up on Contour ShuttlePro buttons , but use kbd about half the time...

And Ben, don't feel bad, I ask questioons where the answer is so simple often too ;-)

Exactly....I agree with what Geoff said regarding this. I've sent in a feature request since Vegas 3.0, saying that most of times I use Play/Pause for the space bar....but then occassionally I want the Play/Stop option. What I suggested was to have the "Enter" button change to "Stop" if you prefer to have the space bar as "Play/Pause". I thought this makes logical sense...I don't need two "Pause" buttons when checking this option in the preferences.
