VF 2.0 (Build 91) Trimmer now officially gone?

I just downloaded the upgrade last night. I spent many grueling hours trying to find the Trimer Window and could not locate it. Just today I saw the previous posts about the trimmer being "hidden." Although, I have build 91 and feel that it might be gone for good. I have done everything that the posts say to do and have only been able to come up with "Open in Viscosity" in the right click window.

I sent an email to SF last night so I'm sure I'll get an answer from them monday, but in the meantime, is there anyone else out there with a newer build that is able to verify this 'dis'functionality??

I have build 91 and the trimmer is still there.

To re-activate trimmer, click Options, then hold the shift key down while
clicking Preferences. You will now have an "Internal" tab in the preferences
windows. Click that tab, and in the bottom of the preferences window
will be an entry blank labelled "Show only prefs containing:". Type

show trim

in this blank. At this point the only preference field listed should be Show
Trimmer with a value of FALSE. Double click on the word FALSE to
hightlight it, then type in TRUE and click the Apply button. The next
time you start VideoFactory you will have a Trimmer option shown.

Please note! There are many important and arcane functions listed under
internal preferences. DO NOT alter them unless you understand exactly
what you are doing! You can easily mess up the settings to the point
where VF won't operate anymore. If you have changed something and
can't get it working again, quit VF, then hold down the shift and control
keys while you start it again. This will reset all the preferences back to
the original state.

I'm just curious why a few find the trimmer useful. I found it to be clumsy, unnecessary and redundant. To each his own I guess. :-)

I love the trimmer. I can open massively long clips in it and choose what I want to put in the project quickly... without havng to move around in the entire project. I just move clips up and fine tune them at that point, then move them into transition with the last clips. You're right though, I can see how it's not necessary for everyone.

Thanks, you help me find the Scrubber too. Now I really happy with VF2. (I Liked VF1 but I don't understand why they are defaulting with the Scrubber off in VF2)

Thanks again for the info. How did you discover this preference setting?

Actually the Internal Preferences have been mentioned several times
in these forums. I've found that they exist it almost all the SF titles i
have installed. They've been really useful in so many situations where
i've said, "i really wish this worked THIS way ...." and now it does!

I would like to get some official documentation on all the settings so
that i know what they all do. Anyone at SF have any feelings on that?

My only comment is:

Ctrl+shift on startup resets all prefs, including internal (should the curious get stuck).
