I bought mine at BestBuy but it was disguised as "Screenblast moviestudio" by Sony. Appears to be the same great VF2.0...

Hmm, we don't have BestBuy over here.

If I buy from Sonic Foundry, how big is the download? Will I be able to install it on both of my computers or a new one?

Did I miss a FAQ somewhere :)

I bought the download version and haven't felt I missed out on anything!

The download's about 28 MByte, but I don't know what the licensing policy is.

Who needs an FAQ; we answer (some) questions in realtime here :-)

The license agreement states that you can install it on any machine you own, provided you don't use it on more than one PC at a time.

Pretty good deal.

I have mine installed on my laptop and my desktop.

I ordered the hard copy and it was shipped to uk quickly. I'm glad I did as over the last year I've had more crashes than a racing driver. But sometimes I then forget to download the 2.0c build and wonder why I've got capture probs.

Not that I envision using my 2 PCs simultaneously, one at my office other at home, I'm curious can the license somehow prevent it?

laz1, why not burn the 2.0c download file and a text file containing your serial number to a CD-R? You really don't need the disc from SonicFoundry for anything as the 2.0c file is a complete install without it. This way you won't have to download it again next time you crash and reinstall.

The license prevents concurrent usage in words only. They are trusting us with this one. Install it on all your PC's, but you can only use 1 copy at a time.

That's the best license agreement I've ever seen. Microsoft won't let you do that...

Thanks all, for the info. I plan to purchase VF (online) thanks in great part to this forum. I only wish I had done better research before shelling out the $$ for Video Wave 5
