OK, I have captured a number of my old VHS tapes from my VCR thru my Sony TRV18 using Pinnacle.

So now, if I am to make the leap to MS, I should be using MS to capture these too.

Unfortunately, MS is still asking me to "Load a tape" when the audio from the VHS starts coming in on my PC, so it obviously does not capture anything.

Back to Pinnacle and it works just fine.

Is there any setting I need to change in MS to tell it that although there is no tape in my Camera, I still want it to capture what is coming over the firewire?
