VIA K8T800 chipset Mainboard compatibility question.

Hi,

Would the VIA K8T800 & VIA VT8237chipset mainboard(Asus K8V Deluxe) work with VV?
and, Is there any performance difference between XP3000 and Athlon64-3000 when using VV?

Yes, my current system uses this motherboard. It's a great motherboard.

Performance wise ? Here are my times running Spot's Vegas rendering benchmark.

My old system : ASUS A7N8X Deluxe with AMD XP2600
2 minutes, 42 seconds

My new system: ASUS K8V Deluxe with AMD64 3000
1 minute, 32 seconds

...Also AMD will be releasing an AMD64 3700 CPU next month.
I definitely plan on upgrading to this CPU once it's out.

I don't have the AMD 64 series, but if i were you and (like me) interested in AMD, get that one. It's the next AMD, no more XP chips, so if you didn't want to buy a new mb/cpu next year, get that. :)
Personaly, when I get the $$$, I want to get a duel opteron.
