VidCap60.exe

I have Sony Platinum Suite 12 installed on a Windows 8 64 bit system. When I try the import DV function, I receive the error message VidCap60.exe cannot be opened. It is not in the directory shown in the error message.

Hope someone can help.

The program should find it automatically.

But, if not, go to Options/Preferences and set the location of the capture software to the directory VidCap60.exe is in on your computer.

Alternatively, you can use the free download WinDV to capture your miniDV footage, and it will load perfectly into Movie Studio.

You can also launch Video Capture by itself as a standalone application. You don't have to launch it from within Movie Studio.

But Steve's right, you'll have to find it first on your computer.
