VidCapture bugging out

Maxter wrote on 9/26/2003, 11:28 PM
This is too much...regular capture will capture audio.....then I try a batch (even of one clip) and i get no audio.

The other mystery is suddenly I cant select my clips for batch capture??

upon right click - the " batch capture" option is greyed out

all the while the device is connected and I can scrub , play ect.

relaunce reboot...nothing

What hardware are you using? That plays a huge role in all this.

if its worth anything, i have been capturing fine for a few days with my brand new adaptec FW card and brand new Panny DVX on a totally clean system.

so....you are suggesting that greyed out batch capture has something to do with my hardware.

to make it even more strange, i go over to my other computer (my dell), and I can batch capture from the same tape.

What about resources sharing on your new system, eating the Firewire IRQ? Also, are settings same? Not knowing the system, generally lack of batch capture sends up flags of T/C issues, but you are batch cap on the other system, so there clearly is TC.

Just a thought . . . File-Capture-Options-Preferences: 1st box, Enable DV device control. Checked, right? DGrob

I had this problem last week. The issue was pretty simple-the playback device wasn't available to the capture program. In my case the device was turned off.
