Video-audio sync in timeline.

I'm new with VMS, 7A platinum edition, everything is working well so far. But when I resize the video in the timeline, the audio doesn't follow it.

I can select a timeline video view setting and the audio is synced so I can edit, but soon as I expand or contract the video the audio gets outa sync. The preview is always in sync with no dropped frames in capture.

System is a HP Compac nw8440 C2Duo with 2G ram. The AVI program files are on an external Maxtor 300G 7200rpm with firewire. CPU never gets above 35% useage. Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by "expand or contract".

Could it be that the video and audio track are not grouped? If so, highlight both, right click, Group > Create New.

Normally when you drag your video onto the timeline they are grouped together.

Am I on the right track.

Possibly the "ignore event grouping" button is activated.

Thx for your replies.
Sorry, by 'expand or contract' I meant 'resize', + or - the video on the timeline.
I assumed when you do that, all the audio tracks will follow and stay in sync, but you've given me 2 items to follow up. Thanks again.
