Video Capture Card

Hey, can anyone recommend an internal video capture card that will work well with Sony Vegas? I'm using version 8.0c right now.

Any firewire card with a Texas Instruments chipset, usually less than $20 at NewEgg.

Vegas will only work with Firewire Devices and some Blackmagic devices (although that has gotten iffy apparently). It does not work with Video Capture cards such as Hauppage, etc.

Yes, video capture cards do not work with Vegas ... BUT .. you can install a card ... capture video with the card's software .. then import that file into Vegas.

Thanks, that's what I have been doing with a Pinnacle card so I'll continue to do that.
