Video Capture Dialog Box

Please help: after what appears to be a successful video capture, the dialog box disappears before I can hit the "Done" button. The box shows that clips were successfully captured. This has never been an issue before. There is no video after this happens in my media bin. I am getting a message after I select video capture that the last video capture did not terminate properly and do I want to reload the project. I have answered "no" and that does not help, and I've answered "yes" and that does not work. I've shut the program down and started completely new projects to have this issue only continue.

Any hints?

The VidCap dialogs sure could be a lot clearer. Seems like sometimes things change all by themselves and you have no idea what or how. What's actually happening is that VidCap is trapping a lot of stray key presses that were mean for other applications and trying to interpret them as menu commands.

What you've done is turn off the Post Capture Dialog. In Options / Preferences / Capture, put a check mark next to 'Display post-capture dialog after capturing video."

When you get that dialog displaying again at the end of your next capture, there's a check box inside it to specify whether captured media is automatically added to the media bin or not.

I would appreciate one more try. I found the setting you described. The box "Display post-capture..." was checked, but I cleared it and rechecked it. The issue was still there.

I erased the uninstalled the program and reloaded it thinking I had a corrupted file in the software. I then started a new project. Amazingly, the error message about the last capture came up after the software was reinstalled. I was able to hit "Done" once very fast to get some capture files, but now the dialog box is disappearing some fast that I can't even try and find the issue. In googling the problem, I am not finding help, so I've come back to you to ask for help once more. I've changed cameras for capture, but the issue is the same. I use this program all the time and just do not know what is now making this an issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
