Video Capture Quality

Hello, i seem to be having some problems with the quality of the video captured within vegas... when i look at the video on my camera the colors look bright and full and the picture looks tight, but when i capture the video within vegas the video gets dull, not full, and not tight... is there some sort of setting in vegas to make the capture quality better? anything will help. thank you

If you capture via firewire, you are getting an EXACT copy (like a file copy from the DV tape to the computer). If you look at the video on the computer screen, it will look different. What's it look like when you print to tape? It should look identical. That's why it is recommended that the firewire connection is used for external preview.
