Video Card ?? Frustration

I've posted before about issues with TitlePro and video card...so please excuse if this is repeat to you. My frustration/condusion is coming from the fact that it worked fine for a long time. I know that with constant automatic updates to my computer anything could have triggered the change.
So silly embarrassing question:
Does hardware go bad or lose it's porency eventuallly ? Could the video card have simply worn out and time to get another ? Could my system memory be running down ?

fosko? At the risk of being flagged-up by the "System Specs Police" Police, please update yours? I'd like to be able to determine where your Graphics card fits amongst all this. Presently you've only got your XXXX?

Since VP10 onwards, Graphics Cards have become more and more influential in their "fitness" for VegasP.

Cheers

Grazie

Not when it's digital. If it goes bad it's really, really bad.
If you were having lots of random inexplicable crashes then OK, it could be a power supply or memory going bad.

Several times I've taken old computers that were headed for the trash because they'd worn out and whipped the drive, installed the original OS and they've worked as good as they day they were bought..

I think what you're describing is due more to our tendency to install more "stuff" on our PCs. Some of it's harmless enough but a lot of the simplest things really can soak up a lot of resources.

Your video card driver could have updated. Try rolling back to a previous driver.
