Please help

To help you we need a lot of info to begin with

- MP4 says nothing about the used codec for that videofile. You have to give the MediaInfo of that MP4 exactly following this link https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/
- specification of your used hardware

BTW Sony Vegas Pro does not exist, Vegas pro is owned by Magix for already a long time

I have the same problem using Vegas Pro 21.0 (Build 315). In the not-to-distant past, I converted many MPG files into MP4 using Vegas 19. I do not remember exactly, but I probably used the default settings when generating the MP4 files. Since that time, I have updated to Vegas 21, and now I cannot import the MP4 files I created using Vegas 19. What is going on?

@Bob_H Please create a new post and include details about your system as well as Mediainfo for the files that no longer open in 22 so we can understand what is going on. VEGAS Pro 21.208 and 22 are very different so it's not likely the same issue the poster here was facing. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

@Lucia-McGill Something is probably off with that MP4 video file. Please upload it for us to test. Magix Vegas Pro 21 does not have issues with the majority of this format.
