Video clips repeat with playback rate = 4.0

Hi there,

I'm new to VMS 15 but I noticed a minor issue I am having when I try to speed up clips in my videos. This only happens on longer clips (many minutes long) and if I use the properties and edit the Playback Rate - 4.0

If I use the drag method from the front of the clip + CTRL the clip reduces in length based on the rate I select and never repeats any video clips.

Reviewing the properties for each clip only shows a difference in the playback rate so I am confused as to why the edit method repeats and the ctrl drag method does not.

That's because this is the behaviour of that methode that intends to fasten the playrate but does nothing else. So if the original file is 8 seconds, that lenght will stay and the program repeats it depending on your setting in Options/Preferences I show on the my screenshot at (1), if you choose for setting (2) the rest (3/4 of the cliplenght) you see as a still. If you want to overcom this you have to make a split at point (3) at that little marker in the video-event and cut the rest off.

and the ctrl drag method does not.

That methode cut automatic the part you probably not want to have and what the other methode not does.
Your choice which methode you choose.

Thanks for the explanation...I will visit the preferences....it caught me off guard and I've had to redo several of my vids as a result. My completed vids tend to be 30-60mins long so this is a bit painful.
