can you explain a little more? I may be misunderstanding but-

Are you doing a picture in picture effect?
Or do you just have two events (clips) on the timeline in different tracks, one on top of another?
When you say "the video behind and in front of it" what is the it?
What are you ultimately trying to do?

without being rude, RTFM!

your question, as kairosmatt points out, is so vague as to be unanswerable - and there's many people on this board only too willing to give help to newbies.

leslie

btw. i'm not one to offer ANY help to anyone if they're not going to put some effort into sorting the matter out for themselves first - i've have classrooms full of 'wannabe' directors, cameramen, etc., who never bothered reading my notes and then asked why their video interviews looked 'odd' - in my very short notes (they were VERY short and full of pictures for those not inclined to read more than a sms - DO NOT CROSS THE LINE (yes it was in caps with diagrams and clear explaination....)

As this is alexandervoncross's first posting here on our friendly forum, might I say firstly "WELCOME". And secondly, would it be possible for you to provide a screen-grab of your workspace? Showing the us what you ARE doing?

Vegas, once you have got hold of some of the elementary ropes, it is very easy to tame.

Again - WELCOME!
