Video Effects Glitch

Hey all,

I think this is a relatively simple/common issue but I cannot for the life of me find an answer for it anywhere online and I want to tear my hair out. Long story short, I'm working on a video that involves motion tracking a video with overlayed images. I then ran into this issue with a bar showing up on all work that had video effects applied to them as shown below. I originally thought that this was a bezier masking/Picture in Picture issue but it is not because as you can see below, even just applying color correction to the below images causes it to appear. This issue is happening across the board to JPEGs, PNGs, and web images of varying quality. I don't think it is caused by a media quality mismatch because it occurs on projects dealing with a single picture and only a single picture (the below was a random stock photo I dropped into a new Vegas project to demonstrate my problem).

Now interestingly enough, I sent my files to my friend and he did not have the bar appear on the project at all. Which led me to thinking that it was a GPU problem. However, my GPU runs just fine under a Fur Mark Stress Test. My PC specs are as follows:

MAGIX Vegas 17 Pro, Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor with a GeForce GTX 1070 GPU on Windows 10. My version of Vegas is purchased and not cracked, and I've searched all over the web for answers to this and haven't been able to find anything.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas, updating all my drivers for my GPU, etc. Nothing I've tried has made this problem go away.

Why is it doing this and how do I make it stop?

Can you post the project here so the community can try to reproduce it? I know your friend tried and was not able to, but maybe if we test it across a wider range of machine configurations we can get it to trigger the bug, that'll offer clues as to what is causing it, and in turn, how to fix it.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

@fr0sty, so interestingly enough, when I rendered the video to bounce it for upload to Google Drive, the line goes away. Not sure what that means. I can upload the video, but did you want the raw veg files and media files or a bounced, rendered copy? Sorry for the questions, it's my first time utilizing a forum for tech help!

Make sure your SPLIT SCREEN PREVIEW button is not enabled.
