Video Event Edge Edit Frames not working

zigip wrote on 2/28/2017, 8:58 PM

So i drag the edge of a video clip, and the video preview window used to show the edge of the video. It no longer does so.

I have looked into this and I DO have Video Event Edge Edit Frames checked. I have tried to check, uncheck, check again to kick start. To no avail.

The video preview windows simply shows whats under the cursor.

Anything else I need to check (split screen view pulldown in the preview is checked to "FX bypassed". I tried clicking a few of the other options to no avail.

Thanks!

I think what you wanted was ALT (to get the "slip trim cursor") +DRAG .. Is that right?

well...i have a clip and i select and edge of the clip and trim/drag/cut off whatever its called. as you change the position in time of the leading edge of the clip, the preview should show you the leading edge (or trailing edge if at the end of the clip).

Ok. I get it now. Very weird. I've never turned off "Video Event Edge Edit Frames" (For those wondering, it's in the View pulldown menu) .. Never knew it existed. You could have accidentally hit CTRL+SHIFT+O to turn it off but then if you made sure it was "checked" in the view menu all should have been restored.

Well all is well that ends.well -- I think everyone here has accidentally turned off something with no clue as to how to reset it. Thanks for explaining what you meant. For sure, I just learned something new. Thanks zigip.
