Video Event FX -KeyFrames..

[r]Evolution wrote on 3/11/2008, 3:04 PM
When I add a Video Event FX to a clip... I do NOT have the KeyFrame Timeline at the bottom.

- Cookie Cutter & Light Rays are the 2 that I'm trying to use... but the others are reacting the same also.

How do I get the KeyFrame Timeline to show so I can edit them in my Video Event FX?

(Yes, I'm scrolling down to where the KeyFrame Timeline should be. There is nothing there... just a block with NOTHING)

Have you keyed before using the FX window?

The keyframes are tiny rectangles.

One should be there at first, the rest can be applied by double clicking etc.

If you still dont see it, try hovering above the bottom of the window with your cursoir untill the icon changes.

Then you should be able to pull up a tiny timline box, which must be hidden at this moment.

This really needs to be a sticky!!

Bring your cursor slowly up to the bottom of the FX window until you see it turn into a 2-headed arrow.
At this point, left-click and drag down with the mouse until the keyframe window appears as desired.

Yep,

I remember having the same problem some years ago.

Actually the box should prevent itself from totally hiding that way.

This never seemed to be too much of an an issue until Vegas Pro 8 came along.
Now it happens a LOT :-(

aaah... what tha?
Yeah, I can't recall ever experiencing that. I would have never guessed it could just 'disappear' like that. Seems like there would at least be the Classic Windows X or Square to show that the KeyFrame Timeline Window can be closed.

Thanks you guys.
I was steady doing my Rough Cut hoping someone had seen it before.
I'm sure it's somewhere in these forums but you've got to search for the right terminology. I was coming up with nothing. Hopefully this thread will help someone else out too.
