Video Event Pan/Crop wrong aspect ratio?

ShawnLaraSteele wrote on 3/7/2009, 5:50 PM

Most of my project's media is 1920x1080 1.0000 Aspect ratio, however I used a 1440x1080 1.33333 aspect camera for a couple clips. The project is 1080i 16:9. 64bit version

When I try to use the pan/crop on the 1.3333 aspect footage, the pan/crop is squished with black borders, however it renders with the correct aspect ration. It makes it really hard to get the pan/crop to do exactly what I want though, since the borders don't line up.

Anyone else seen this & knows what's going on?

FWIW: If I change to the project to NTSC Wide (720x480) I see the same behavior.

is the project 1920x1080 1.00 PAR or 1440x1080 1.33 PAR? that could make a difference. I'm not at my comp atm so I can't pull up footage from both to check & see if it would.

The project is 1920x1080 1.00 PAR, and the 1.0 PAR source crops OK, it's just the 1.33 PAR that crops funny. Same difference if I make the project 480 widescreen.

I am having the same exact problem. The event pan/crop window is displaying my video squished with black borders on the side. When I attempt to create a mask so I can apply an effect over it, it does not match up on the actual video. The "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is set to Yes.

Any ideas on how to fix this?!
