Video Events Swapping Media??

I know I read about this somewhere in the forum, but cannot find it by searching. Why is Vegas Pro 10 SWAPPING the content of Vegas-generated media events? What the heck?

I edit long-form weddings using my Sony AX2000's native AVCHD footage directly on the timeline. I also use media generated from Vegas like solid color, basic text, and ProType Titler. Here's what happens... I'll close a project down, reopen it the next day, and some Vegas-generated media (solid black and text events) are now AVCHD video clips! The name of the video event on the timeline is STILL the proper name (e.g. Sony Solid Color 1, etc.) but the video is not! I have to drag down the media again from the bins and replace itself. It seems to only happen to the same events on the timeline... and swaps it with the same different footage every time.

This is most likely another manifestation of the known (but not fixed) media swap bug.
You should open a trouble ticket with support and maybe your data will help Sony solve this bug.

The two most recent manifestations of this bug with me involved only swapping video for generated text events. They were therefore easy to spot and fix. My first encounter, however, was more messy, involving video being swapped with video.

You mention finding out the next day. I found out that too. The corruption can take place but not be evident until a reboot.
