Did you do a project recently, and then deleted all of the files? It might be looking for a certain file or default config. Just a guess though.

No it displayed the error message right after I installed the program. It is
a nuisance, I wish I knew how to get rid of it. Other than that the program works
perfect.

Which O/S are you running VF under? I'm wondering if there's an error log or any possibility of monitoring the file system to see what's being accessed when it goes wrong.

I hate to go the Pinnacle Studio route, but did you uninstall before you reinstalled? That might be worth trying.

Windows Xp professional and yes I did do an uninstall, cleaned the registry and reinstalled. Still get the error.

Did you disable Windows terminal services? This is used for fast user switching. This will cause that error message you are seeing every time you start VideoFactory (it's harmless).

Very good!!!! Terminal services was disabled. I started it and now no error.
