When I open Video Factory I get a small display box that states:
"An error occurred starting Video Factory.
The reason for the error could not be determined".
Then when I close the error box the program works fine.
No it displayed the error message right after I installed the program. It is
a nuisance, I wish I knew how to get rid of it. Other than that the program works
perfect.
Which O/S are you running VF under? I'm wondering if there's an error log or any possibility of monitoring the file system to see what's being accessed when it goes wrong.
I hate to go the Pinnacle Studio route, but did you uninstall before you reinstalled? That might be worth trying.
Did you disable Windows terminal services? This is used for fast user switching. This will cause that error message you are seeing every time you start VideoFactory (it's harmless).
