Video Factory vs Pinnacle Studio 8?

I've been using Pinnacle Studio 8 for several months and I love it for its ease of use..but it is very unstable. So I am looking for an alternative NLE in the same price range. Would you guys recommend Video Factory? Why (or why not)? Thanks for your input!

that masterkey program looks like what I need, anybody know why it might produce the below errror?

unable to open source file. It could be corrupted or missing

Sounds like you might have to save your clip with OpenDML (AVI 2) disabled. See my web site here for the solution.
