Video format for ADS Pyro DV drive?

I just got hold of a ADS Pyro DV hard drive (I think a few of you here have this samne unit. It is a 30GB drive that pkugs right into the camcorder to record DV.

The manual is a little... brief (like one page - laminated with some basic info on each side). The system can record to four different formats, RAW DV, Windows AVI2, Canopus AVI and Quicktime MOV.

What is the best/correct format for Vegas? I would assume Windows AVI2... but I would like to find out from those of you who already have one what it should really be?

The ADS website has NOTHING about this.

Thanks

Well after writing a few lines I stumbled across the answer (I think) AVI2 or DV.

I think it's all about the header tag and how it tell software how to handle the file. So that said, MOV would work to.

Ah hell I'm just kinda poking at the snake, hope I don't get bit. ;-/

Any one of those formats works fine. MSAVI2 will be best.

Thanks Spot. I think you have a couple of these right? How has your experience been with them?

Where did you find the answer? Was it on the ADS site?
