Video FX don't seem to work - Version 21.0.208

I have a video project on the timeline. I have a clip which needs color correction. I add the Vegas Color Corrector to the clip, but nothing happens to the color of the video. After additional experimenting I found that none of the FX filters cause a change to the video. This includes the Vegas filers as well as the BCC and NewBlue filters. Everything worked about a month ago. I reinstalled Vegas 21, but that didn't make any difference. I have a feeling that I inadvertently "flipped a switch" somewhere or something like that. All the audio filters work fine. The VST Effects paths (Preferences) all look OK. I have been using Vegas Pro since version 3 or 4, and have never seen this issue. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks in advance!

Does this occur both in Preview and after rendering?

Anyway try a "Factory Reset" https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/ Make sure you tick the box so the cache gets cleared. This doesn't happen when you uninstall and reinstall. A reset can often fix strange problems.

Look above the preview screen and click on the "Split Screen View" button. It's a good feature but, if turned on and set to bypass, you won't see the effect changes.

Hi jetdv,

That fixed the problem Thank you VERY MUCH! I have never (intentionally) used the split screen.

@topcatonyx look at the help file about that feature. It's sometimes really helpful! But it will catch you by surprise if you accidentally press the button.

After reading the help file, I can see how it can be very useful. Thanks for the tip!
