Video Inside Text With Background?

ShiftyCow wrote on 4/18/2015, 1:01 AM
I'm trying to create an intro, and need to have text with video from one track on the inside, and a background picture from another track on the outside. I've been able to get transparent text just fine, but the video inside just takes up the whole screen and I can't see my background. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Make text with White single color only, then change that track's Compositing mode as Multiply (Mask). I will call this "TRACK A"
Add Effect "Mask Generator" to the text, set as Luminance. Now put video track on the bottom of TRACK A, also as a child track to the Track A (Track A as a parent for the bottom Video track).

Now you should have the video appear inside the text.

And of course, the background video as "track c".
