Hi, John! My media is 1920x1080, that of the project is 1080x1920! I rewrote the dimensions in the first table, but V. did not change it. What to do?

Former user wrote on 1/25/2022, 12:32 PM

@Kati-Matrai Hi, I'm a little lost now as to where you are struggling, you need to upload as many full screen pics as poss, when you open a setting, take a screen capture, save it in a folder & upload them all here.

The Vegas screen with preview window & timeline,
The project Properties, where you changed the dimensions,
The render settings (open the template settings & show as much as possible)

Too many pictures uploaded is better than too few. 😉👍

Vegas Pro 14 on Win 10. Quick Time (7.7.9) has been installed. The source media is in .mp4. Vegas renders only the audio track in .wav but not the entire media. Does anyone know the solution?

I greet everyone who has tried to help. It worked! I wanted to show it (24 sec, mp4) but it did not download here, perhaps it's too large (almost 47 GB).

My settings are: and

Problems are the big file and the two stripes.

Former user wrote on 1/29/2022, 10:46 AM

@Kati-Matrai Ok that shouldn't create a 47GB file, are you sure you have that correct?,

right click on the file - Properties like this & post that pic

(This video above is 3.76MB)

For the two stripes, change the Project Properties to 1080 width & the Height to 1920,

In the render settings, open Customize Template & do the same, 1080 width & the 1920 Height,

Hi Gid, I was wrong, the file is 47 MB only!

When I rewrote the file, the stripes disappeared right away, but I did not find 1080x1920 in SonyAVC... options:

In the render settings, open Customize Template & do the same, 1080 width & the 1920 Height,

Choose the one you have in your picture, Sony AVC Internet 1920 x 1080 - open Customize Template at the bottom & change to 1080 width & the 1920 Height just like you did in the Project window

Hello, before the last rendering I wanted to further refine the video, but the usual PanCrop was gone from the second frame, even thought it would work on the first one (where no need for it). Interestingly, the previous settings work, but now they are not visible, so I can't even correct those. What could had happened? (I did not touch anything.)

Click on Position, the one above Mask, see if that gives you the controls you're looking for,

Kati-Matrai wrote on 1/30/2022, 2:58 PM

Unfortunately, no change. Perhaps, I should reinstall the program?

As the name indicates VegasPRO, is a video editing program for professional video editors or at least for those who have already some experience in editing video. Both seems here not applicable. Also VegasPro is not a good choice for editing variable framerate and in portrait mode filmed mobile phone videos, especially when there is no experience in how to use/operate/tweak Vegas.

I would recommend you to use another video editor which is easy to use for newbies and easy for editing mobile phone videos.

What do you mean no change?

You can see from the colored icon that pan crop is active on the right clip, not the left one.
What it is doing depends on the keyframes that are on the same row with Position. They represent times with the left being the beginning of that event (clip).

(Definitely don't reinstall the program.)

Kati-Matrai wrote on 1/31/2022, 11:13 AM

Hello Roger! Yes, the icon is active. Earlier I made some settings. These settings are working well. Later, when I wanted to refine these a little, I saw only a rectangle (picture). The usual form of pancrop icon desappeared. I did not use pancrop on the first clip, but I could do it because its form is the usual one. So, the forms of the 2 pancrop icons differ within one video.

Kati-Matrai wrote on 1/31/2022, 12:47 PM

Óhhh! I realized, when I was putting the keyframes, made a click on a wrong line! Everything is OK now!

RogerS wrote on 2/1/2022, 5:33 AM

Nice, glad you figured it out. The keyframes are small and not always fully visible.
