Video Monitors

For HD editing with a NLE a HDTV monitor is often suggested to supliment the computer monitor, but with the new generation of quality dual TV/computer monitors like the Apple 30" wide-screen is this now defunct? Seems one good dual TV/Computer monitor in wide screen and maybe one poor TV to see what the great unwashed masses see is all that is needed.

"Mainstream" work (for cable nets, or large broadcasters) still requires a good "broadcast quality" monitor. The best reason for this is that once delivered, this is often how the material will be viewed & QC checked.
