Hmmm.....I'm not quite understanding you at this moment.

Do you have the 'voice' or 'audio' tracks in your time lines?
Do you have a mic to record your audio narration.

I've done two projects (Vietnam documentary/Music anthology) and have narration in both projects.
I recorded my narration in my music software program then exported the audio file for my project.

Sorry I'm little help but still on my first cup of coffee and may not be understanding you correctly.

Carry on....

Yes to both question. I have Text, Video Overlay. Video, Voice, Music and Sound Effects on my timeline. I have 1950-60's converted 8mm movies to narrate. According to the Muvipix Guide to VMS HD Platinum 10 "Record Narration into your Project", they show a narration boxs in the timeline that has a microphone audio level bar that not in Voice or Music. I'm missing something or a step somewhere!
How do you get the narration boxs on your timeline??

Have you clicked on the red dot on the Track Header for one of your audio tracks?

When you do, the record button will become active along the bottom of the program's interface. You then just click this to begin recording as your timeline plays.

That did it, and it works. Is there a narration boxs like a text, voice, ect.. boxs on the timeline??

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Your narration will show up as an event clip on the audio track you activated.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge to explain my issue.

On my timeline there are 6 tasking, they are; 1-text, 2-video overlay, 3-video, 4-voice, 5-music and 6-sound effects. In the guded I bought to help me learn VMS HD Platinum 10, I'm reading "Record narration into your project". They show a narration boxs vice a sound effects boxs. Once armed it shows a microphone audio level bar within the boxs above the Vol. - Pan. controls. My question is how do you get the narration box-line into the timeline?

I understand and it worked with arming voice and I recorded my narration, but I wanted to know where did the narration boxs-line come from??

Did I explain it correctly for you to understand what I'm asking?

The names on the Track Headers for the video and audio tracks are arbitrary. You can name them anything you want -- and you can use any audio track for your narration. The level meter should appear when you arm the track for recording, I think. (I dont' have the program in front of me, so I'm working from memory. What do you see? When you arm a track and then click the record button at the bottom of the interface?)

Now I understand, I thought there was a dropdown that you add a new horizontal line that pertains to narration. I did not read that you can rename the boxs. Thank you.

Yes, once you arm the voice box it comes up with a microphone level bar. Now I'm cooking with gas!! Thank you for your help.
