Video Newbie Question

I've used Vegas for audio for quite a while, but now need to do a video project. Is it possible to do an AVI or MPEG that looks nice full screen that could be run on a projector? We have a PowerPoint presentation that I want to enhance through transistions and audio, but need it to look similar to PowerPoint (in the way it does full screen viewing).

Is this possible? How? Thanks!

Use wmv files, compatible with Power Point and much lower bit rate than MPEG, with sam equality.

I don't necessarily need to be compatible with PowerPoint. I want to export (or rebuild) the current PowerPoint presentation in Vegas, but I need it to display full screen (you know the way PowerPoint takes up the entire screen?) so it looks good on a projector. Is there a way to do this without burning a DVD?

Perfect application for ADS technologies TV Elite XGA. What will you use to 'play' full screen? Try a monitor cable splitter to the projector and hit play. I also use ATI File Player (not an accepted name in these parts), to play the saved project from my hard drive full screen. Much success. John

jnokes: i do this very thing quite often. I usually render to .wmv using the 3mbps template which gives fairly decent quality at 640x480 resolution. I then play the files back in Windows Media Player, typing Alt-Enter to switch it to full screen mode after playback has started. I'll usually put a few seconds of black at the beginning and end so i've got time to switch to full screen and un-blackout the projector before the video starts, and then time to black out the projector after it finishes. This way the audience never sees the MediaPlayer window.
