Video Preview Black Screen Vegas Pro - need help

Hello, thanking anyone who reads this and can help!

Currently, I am using version 22.0 and after trying to apply a transition, the video preview black screened. After updating my drivers, restarting the software AND my pc, reinstalling, etc it has ended up happening again.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro

Footage is a screen/game recording; file is an MKV file.

I'm unsure if my specs are needed, but I have an Intel i5-3550 CPU, 24 gigs RAM and a GTC 1050 Ti.

I will provide any other information needed, this is a reoccurring issue that I do not have a solution for. I looked into older posts for older versions, but none of the solutions there work for me, so I'm hoping someone might have an answer for me.

Your video track is muted.

Look at the video track header on the left. the "M" is highlighted in blue. That mutes that track.Click on the "M" again, and all should be well.

And if this works, click on VEGASDerek's reply as Solution.
