Video Preview on External Monitor not working

Hello,

I'm using Movie Studio 11. I had to reinstall it on a new computer (due to computer crashing) ---and now for some reason, when I press the Video Preview on External Monitor button to see an image full screen, nothing happens.

I've tried various setting changes in the Preview Monitor tab, but nothing seems to restore this feature.

Any thoughts on how to fix?

How is your external monitor connected to your computer?

Under Options/Preferences, what do have selected as your Device under the Preview Device tab? Under Details does it list the device as connected?

Also, what is listed as the Display Adapter?

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I think the OP is talking about just using the primary (only?) monitor for full screen preview. If this is the case, when you click on the "Video preview in External Monitor" icon, Movie Studio should switch to full screen.

The first thing I would check is Options/Preferences/Preview Device, and make sure something like "Windows Graphic Card" is selected, and not "Secondary Display."
