Video Preview zooming in and out

Reyfox wrote on 10/9/2024, 8:31 AM

I can use my mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the Video Preview, and the center mouse button to reset everything. But is there a way to move the resized image around to zoom into a specific part of the Preview?

My brain is a little dead right now (ask wife, and she will say it's dead all the time)....

I haven't found a way. There's always Pan/Crop if you're looking for a hair that's out of place. I haven't finished my first cup of coffee, so my brain is also dead or near dead.

Click and hold the mouse wheel to pan through the video. Drag the mouse to move the preview and explore different areas.

That's what the VEGAS manual says in the section "Zooming and Panning in the Video Preview Window".

@Reyfox, click on the center wheel and drag.

And the prize goes to @LdM_Edit by 1 minute. Sorry @jetdv! @john_dennis I hope you get that coffee into you soon!

I knew there was a way, but couldn't remember.

Thanks everyone!

I use X-Mouse Button Control to further customize my Video Preview zooming options. I now simply use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out, and the right mouse click to Pan around..... These motions are more fluid and streamlined while editing.
