Video Problem after Reloading W2K Operating System

I recently purchased VideoFactory 1.0, and then upgraded to VideoFactory 2.0. Each of these programs worked fine on my computer.

I recently had a system crash and had to reload my operating system (W2K professional). After reloading the operating system and reloading VideoFactory,
VideoFactory would no longer permit me to drag-and-drop video files (in particular .avi files-- I also had trouble loading .mpg files also). The only portion of the video file that would be dragged and dropped was the sound track for the file.

I also tried loading on previously made videofactory files. Still pictures would load, but the video tracks would not.

The video files work fine in Windows Media Player.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Sounds like another MPEG plug-in issue. When you "register" the plug-in it adds entries to the Registry. Reloading your OS may have overwritten them.

Thanks. Any idea how to fix the register? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling VF, but to no avail.

I re-registered the MPEG plug-in. I can play MPEGs without a probem.

I still cannot load the video portions of my AVI files?

The AVI files are from a digital camera. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the camera software. The AVI files play fine in Windows Media Player. Still no luck in VF. The files played fine on VF before my system crash.

Anyone with any suggestions?
