file, properties... then change the "full-resolution rendering quality" to best.

"Best" only matters if you are resizing images. If your output is the same frame size as the source files then Best won't make any difference to the quality at all. It may slow rendering down substantially though. So, unless you're resizing, leave it set to Good.

What confused me was the grayed out CUSTOM button under RENDER AS. Your property solution should do the trick.
