What sould I set the Video Capture settings to??

Does this box convert the signal to DV and connect to the computer with firewire? If so, there are no settings to fiddle with and change. You will get a DV file at 720x480 because that's what the converter box produces.

If it's something that connects through USB and produces an MPEG file, then, well, it's probably not going to work anywhere near as well as a DV converter and you might want to consider an upgrade. Otherwise i'd just use whatever the default settings are and not fiddle. See if what comes through is useful.

720x480 and 720x486 will be the same shape on the screen. If you're working with digital video then 720x480 is probably a more standard choice. If you have to pick one, try that first and see how it goes.
