I need some suggestions on how to video a live bad and, I was just asked to put a promotional CD together for a local band. I have only done work with digital stills in VV3 so this is a new adventure for me. I just purchased the Canon Elura 40MC mini DV camera to shoot video.

My first thoughts are to mix video and stills of the band during recording and while they are performing on stage including clips of the crowd singing and dancing.

The band would like to use the promotional CD to send to potential clients such as bars and festivals.

I am new to shooting video so any suggestions would be very helpful to making my first video project a success.
