First off I want to thank everybody that has helped me with my Q/As so far. I just joined this site a fue weeks ago and I did not think I would be getting this kind of help thank you all.

I think I sould tell you what I am trying to do and then you can tell me what I need to do?

I am useing Movie Studio 8.0 and I am capturing video from an Analog VCR.
The VCR is connected to an Analog to Digital converter box and it is set to be connected to an Analog sorce that puts out an NTSC signal my VCR

After the VCR goes to the converter box it ooutputs it as Digital NTSC and uses a Firewire to bring the signal into the computer.

So think I sould have my video capture template set to NTSC DV 720 X 480 but since it is an NTSC I think I sould use NTSC Stanard 720 X 486??????

Because it's coming in as Digital throught Firewire I gess I sould use NTSC DV 720 x 486 But then what is NTSC Standard 720 x 486 for???

And what Pixel Ratio goes with what Template??
Thanks Robert

Just use the standard Vegas NTSC 4:3 template, the 6 pixel difference is negligible.

Robert, you're capturing through firewire i see. That means you'll be getting a DV signal from the converter box. DV is always 720x480. In fact, you have no way to alter that. There are no "video capture templates". There is nothing in VidCap that lets you capture anything different. Just stick with the DV templates in Vegas and you'll be fine.
